Located on a cozy peninsula in the southwest section of the Municipality of Delta, British Columbia, Canada is the community of Tsawwassen. This seaside locale is mostly residential. The Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal delivers pedestrian and motor vehicles to the Southern Gulf Islands as well as Vancouver Island. Just ten minutes away is Boundary Bay Airport.
Tsawwassen is delimited on the west by the Strait of Georgia and on the east by Boundary Bay. The United States border is adjacent to the southern edge of Tsawwassen. The town’s nearest neighbor is the town of Ladner, also part of Delta. Ladner Village boasts unique stores and a summertime open-air market featuring handmade treasures and fresh produce. Tsawwassen and nearby areas offer a wide selection of recreation, including Reifel Bird Sanctuary on Westham Island. Home to more than 230 species and the migratory stop for 1.5 million birds along the Pacific Flyway, this area on the Fraser River wetlands is a sight to see. Centennial Beach offers warm, clean beaches along with picnic areas, beach volleyball, and nature paths. Walkers and bicyclists will enjoy the dyke trail runs east of Tsawwassen beside Mud Bay and Boundary Bay. The route between the Surrey-Delta border and Boundary Bay Regional Park is twenty kilometers, one way. Windsurfing and fishing are popular sports in Boundary Bay. Head over to the beach on the south side of BC Ferries and join other surfers and anglers for a day on the water.
