Yennadon is a histroical community located in between the North and South Alouette Rivers. It was considered as a major recreation area during its early years due to Maple Ridge Park being in the neighborhood's center.
It still is a destination for recreation but much of the neighborhood's area is now an agricultural zone. It is also a convenient place to live since it's just 8 minutes away from downtown Maple Ridge.
Yennadon, Maple Ridge was originally known as South Alouette until it was renamed in 1911. Centered between the North and South Alouette Rivers, Yennadon started out as a recreation and vacation destination as it is ideally set near the rivers and picturesque natural areas.
Set North of Maple Ridge, Yennadon is conveniently located close to the city’s amenities, however enjoys a more rural, tranquil setting. Maple Ridge is an ever growing and expanding city. It’s ideal location, modern amenities and access to many recreational areas have buyers from all over considering a move to the area.
Like most areas of Maple Ridge, Yennadon has a varied real estate landscape. Many of the new developments in the area are featuring row houses, attached townhomes, mobile homes and condominiums. There are many detached single family homes for sale in Yennadon that offer generous lots and private settings.

Yennadon has a number of shopping and dining options dotted throughout the area, as well as access to neighbourhood and community parks. Maple Ridge Water Park, Maple Ridge Park, Davidson Community Pool and Deer Fern Park. Portions of the Mill Creek Trail and Maple Ridge Trail are just north of Yennadon and connect walkers, hikers, bikers and horseback riders to Golden Ears Provincial Park.
Yennadon Elementary School is located in the heart of the community, whereas Maple Ridge Secondary School is under 10 minutes away.
Yennadon offers single-detached homes, townhouses, and other properties. Single-family homes starts at around $600,000 for renovated properties, and around $900,000 to $1.3 million for new homes.

Wildplay Element Park is just two minutes away from the area, where dozens of ziplines are whizzing your way. There are also more platforms, suspended ladders, bridges, net, and obstacle games than you can count. The park brings you out of your comfort zone and lets you fear nothing! Equutrails will allow you to experience horseback trail riding. Alouette Lake is also a popular spot where you can go swimming, windsurfing, water-skiing, canoeing, and fishing for you and your family to enjoy. Finally, satisfy your cravings at the Black Sheep Public House after an adventurous day outside!
Public transits in Yennadon include Air Service, Greyhound Bus, Handy Dart, Translink, and West Coast Express. If you want a direct mode of transportation, there are taxi and car rentals that provide services for residents.
